Follow the orange arrows on the signs as you walk

This mural, created by Massillon native Scot Phillips of 25th and Lincoln Mural Company, features his halftone style, rendering shades of gray with varying sizes of hand-painted dots.

Commissioned by the Elum Music Company, which owned this end of the shopping center, the mural depicts one of Massillon’s most famous athletes, New York Yankees first baseman Tommy Henrich, who was known by teammates like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio as “Old Reliable.”

Directions: Keep walking south toward the viaduct, looking to your right when you cross Federal Avenue to see another mural.Walk one block west on Federal Avenue.  Turn right onto First Street Northwest toward the car wash.  Stay to the left of the car wash on Weinrich Boulevard until it dead-ends into Agathon Avenue.  Turn left and continue a short distance until Agathon dead-ends into Tommy Henrich Boulevard.  Turn left and stop at the mural on the end of the shopping center.
