Femininity in Football City

Welcome to Massillon’s Femininity in Football City tour, sponsored by Massillon Rotary Foundation and Massillon Main Street.  We hope you enjoy walking through our beautiful town as well as learning about some of the amazing women who have lived here.  Although historically the community has relied on football and factories for much of its strength, Massillon was also a hotbed of the women’s suffrage movement.

From the Massillon Museum, stay on this side of the street to head up the hill on Lincoln Way East toward the beautiful Massillon Public Library, with the large green dome, pausing at the corner of Second Street to learn about the library building and the women who lived there.
