Health & History Walking Tours
Walking Tours
Four walks, each starting outside the Massillon Museum, feature special aspects of Massillon’s history: Downtown Churches (about two miles), Femininity in Football City (about a mile and a half), Public Art (about a mile and a half), and Historic Downtown (about one mile).
Walkers can follow each route by listening to narration and directions by local historian Margy Vogt or by reading them on their mobile devices. Each stop along the way includes a brief history and photograph of the site. Signs will be posted along the routes with color-coded arrows to assist with wayfinding. Sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and ear buds are recommended.
