M.P.L. Kirchhofer

(1885–1982)

Massillon High School graduate M.P.L. Kirchhofer held a civil engineering degree from Case Western Reserve and a law degree from Cornell. After time as City Council President, he was Mayor from 1922 through 1925. He helped reorganize the State Bank and chaired its board for forty years. The Chestnut Hill subdivision is the finest legacy of his career as a real estate developer.
